Happy new year to you, it’s Zane Truscott here!

Today I wanted to send you a very short message about your health and your wellness. When it comes to your health, who is it that you should listen to?

You know, I’ve had the privilege in the last 15 years of working with some phenomenal experts in the self-care and self-education and wellness space.  And, you know, if there’s one thing I’ve come to realise in facilitating events for literally thousands of people from all walks of life, it’s this…

It’s not so much WHO you listen to that matters most.  What matters is what you DO on a consistent basis.

You see, I had many health challenges myself as a teenager.  When I was 17 years old, I suffered from chronic fatigue, I had terrible skin problems and I had some digestive issues. I was also quite weak and frail in my physicality.

I was always striving to make the A team in sports, but I couldn’t quite get there because I just didn’t have the physical talent and strength. And it was kind of a pit moment when I got to around my 18th birthday. I could see all these people around me who were active, vibrant and really well and strong and I wasn’t one of them.

So, I decided that I would start to learn about health and wellness.  That I would start to embrace living foods, learn how to heal myself and that I would start working on my physical strength.

And it was really through that process that I proved to myself that I could do it, that I could heal myself. And really the key to all of it was just doing the little simple things right consistently every single day.  This is really what I’ve prided myself on for the last 30 years.

But here’s the thing…

It pains me to meet so many people who have lost their way with their health.  And it’s something that I’ve come across time and time again in my work over the last 15 years.  So really what my mission is moving forward into the next stage of my career, is to help as many people as possible to really step into their inner wellness fire, because we all have it within us.

We all deserve to have vitality, to have energy and to be pain-free.

We don’t need to get sick. We don’t need to worry about disease, all the things that are so prevalent in today’s society that form such a big part of everybody’s life. There’s no need to keep subscribing consistently to doctors and medications and feeling like we have to be on those things for the rest of our life!

That’s not what health is about.  What health is about is an inside job.

You see, you know intuitively in your heart when something is true and correct for you, you have an amazing ability to discern. The problem is there are so many different experts out there with so many different conflicting opinions it can get confusing.

You can get on YouTube and one guy will say this, and another guy will say that. One nutrition guy will recommend vegan while another will recommend paleo. There are many different paths you can choose, and I’m not here to pigeonhole you towards any particular path.  I just want you to realise that you have the power to change your health and to change your life.

Physical health is really I believe the absolute foundation of us having it all in life.  I know many wealthy people who have lost their health and they’d give everything away just to get their health back. So for me, health is number one.

From a place of health and vitality, you have a sense of purpose. Your mind is on fire. You’re creating new ideas and you’re being more productive. And these are all the reason for reasons for us to focus on our health and wellness and vitality.
